The arrest of Maya Picasso (Maria de la Concepción Ruiz Walter de Widmaier) and other accomplices has been requested at the 4th Central Trial Court of Madrid (Spain) on April 28, 2006, Prior Proceedings 188/2003 have been reopened and extended for alleged continuing crimes of fraud (deliberately attributing false worthless works to Picasso).
A precise forensic handwriting expert report, presented at court, scientifically certifies that the works unduly attributed to Picasso from the period comprised from 1891 to 1897 are in fact by his father José Ruiz Blasco.
